Who we are
LockFeed is owned and operated by Mosaic Integral Innovations LLC. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the LockFeed app and this website. For privacy questions, contact support@lockfeed.app.
Screen Time and data on your device
With your permission, LockFeed uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to let you select apps, apply app restrictions, and temporarily unlock them after a quiz. App selections are represented by Apple-provided tokens. Your selections, unlock settings, quiz progress, and access state are stored on your device and shared with the app’s Screen Time extensions where needed.
Screen Time activity reports are displayed through Apple’s device activity reporting system. Raw activity reports and app-selection tokens are not sent to our analytics provider. You can manage LockFeed’s Screen Time permission in your device settings.
Usage analytics and PostHog
We collect and analyze information about how you use LockFeed through the PostHog software development kit (SDK) integrated into the app. Subject to applicable law and any required consent, we use this information to operate and improve LockFeed, understand feature use and engagement, identify usability problems, and evaluate product changes.
Information collected. Usage events may include:
- App launches, foreground and background activity, session identifiers, timestamps, session length, and how often you return to LockFeed.
- Screens viewed, buttons and controls used, navigation, onboarding steps, settings changes, and feature interactions.
- Selected quiz topics, quiz and question identifiers, answer selections, correctness, retries, hints, completion results, and time spent on quizzes or lessons.
- App-lock and unlock interactions, configured unlock duration, Screen Time authorization status, and counts of selected apps, categories, or domains.
- Trial use, paywall views, offers and prices displayed, purchase and restore outcomes, entitlement status, and product and transaction identifiers. Payment-card details are not included.
- App version and build, operating-system version, device model and type, and SDK version.
Identifiers and profiles. We store a randomly generated installation identifier on your device and send it with analytics events. PostHog can associate events and related properties with that identifier across sessions so we can understand use over time. This is pseudonymous data, not necessarily anonymous data: removing your name or email does not make a persistent usage history unidentifiable.
Analysis and experiments. We may analyze individual event histories and aggregate statistics, including feature adoption, navigation paths, completion rates, return visits, and purchase conversion. We also use PostHog feature flags and A/B experiments to evaluate different interfaces, features, prices, offers, and paywall timing. Analytics may include experiment eligibility, group assignments, which variation was shown, and subsequent interactions. The app displays applicable purchase terms before you buy.
Limits of collection. These analytics describe your use of LockFeed. We do not send PostHog raw Screen Time activity reports, app-selection tokens, selected-app names, or the content of other apps. Unlock duration is a configured time interval, not a measurement of time spent scrolling in another app. Session replay, automatic screen recording, and automatic interaction capture are disabled; selected interactions are recorded as events by LockFeed’s own code. We do not send names, email addresses, or free-text input as analytics properties. The app is configured to suppress IP-based geolocation in PostHog; service providers still receive network requests as part of delivering their services.
How PostHog processes analytics
Mosaic Integral Innovations LLC determines the purposes and scope of LockFeed analytics and is the controller where that term applies under data protection law. We use PostHog as a service provider and processor to receive, store, organize, and analyze analytics on our behalf. LockFeed currently sends these events to PostHog’s US Cloud service, so analytics may be processed in the United States and by the service’s subprocessors.
PostHog’s processing is subject to the applicable service and data-processing terms. Where international-transfer rules apply, transfers must have the safeguards required by those rules. Information about the service’s privacy controls is available in PostHog’s privacy documentation. We do not sell this information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.
Legal basis and your analytics choices
Where required by applicable law or platform rules, optional analytics requires your prior consent. Merely using LockFeed or accepting our Terms of Service does not replace a separate consent choice when one is required. Screen Time authorization is permission to provide the app-locking features; it is not consent to third-party analytics.
Where applicable law permits processing without consent, we may rely on our legitimate interests in understanding how LockFeed is used, maintaining its reliability, and improving its features and offers, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. We do not rely on legitimate interests to bypass a requirement for consent.
You may contact support@lockfeed.app to withdraw analytics consent, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request access to or deletion of analytics associated with you. We may need additional information to identify the relevant installation and verify the request. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Refusing optional analytics consent does not waive your rights to purchased features. Turning off Screen Time permission does not, by itself, disable LockFeed analytics.
Purchases
If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment. LockFeed uses StoreKit purchase and entitlement information to determine access to paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Support messages
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot your request. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive screenshots.
This website
This website does not set analytics cookies or run third-party tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the website. Email links open your own email application; the website does not submit a contact form.
Service providers and sharing
We use Apple for Screen Time and in-app purchases, PostHog for app analytics and feature experiments, and Hostinger for website hosting. Support communications are handled through our email service. Providers process information to deliver these services, and processing may take place outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, our services, or legal rights. We do not sell your personal information or use app analytics for third-party advertising.
Retention and your choices
Local app data remains on your device until it is cleared or removed, subject to your device and backup settings. Apple may retain purchase records independently. Analytics and support information are retained as needed for the purposes described in this policy and applicable legal obligations.
You can change Screen Time permissions through iOS settings and remove the app from your device. Removing the app does not automatically delete information already received by service providers. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, contact support@lockfeed.app. We may need information to locate the relevant records and verify your request. Available rights depend on applicable law.
Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@lockfeed.app so we can investigate and address it.
Security and changes to this policy
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee complete security. We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date.
